Momntus is an AI-powered learning platform that helps students understand psychology and human behaviour. When this policy says "Momntus", "we", "us" or "our", it means the Momntus service and the team that operates it.

2. What information we collect
Information you give us directly:
- Your name and email address when you create an account
- Your school or university email, if provided for a student discount
- Payment details — collected and stored by Stripe, not by us
- Messages you send to the AI assistant within lessons
- Notes and bookmarks you save
Information generated as you use Momntus:
- Which lessons you've completed and your responses to quiz questions
- Concepts you answered correctly or struggled with
- Streak history and daily engagement patterns
- Basic device and browser information for troubleshooting
3. How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- Personalise your lesson experience — surfacing concepts you've struggled with and adapting how the AI explains things to you
- Track your progress, streaks, and retention over time
- Process your subscription and send billing communications
- Respond to your support requests
- Improve lesson quality, quiz questions, and AI responses
- Send optional product updates — you can unsubscribe at any time
We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
4. Data retention
How long we keep your data depends on your plan:
- Free plan — Bookmarks, notes, and saved quiz results are kept for 15 days from when each item was saved, then automatically deleted. Your streak and lesson completion history remain while your account is active.
- Pro plan — All saved items, notes, bookmarks, and progress data are kept permanently — no countdown.
- Account deletion — When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.
5. Sharing your information
We share data only in these limited cases:
- Service providers — Stripe for payments; infrastructure providers for hosting and email. All are contractually required to protect your data.
- AI providers — Lesson assistant messages may be processed by a third-party AI provider under a data processing agreement that prohibits training on your conversations.
- Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your progress data (Pro plan)
- Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time

7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and understand how people navigate the site. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the service may stop working correctly.
8. Children's privacy
Momntus is designed for high school and university students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact privacy@momntus.com and we'll delete it promptly.
For users aged 13–17, we encourage a parent or guardian to review this policy with them before they sign up.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. For material changes, we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent update.
